We're getting back into the swing of work, school and life in general after the fun of the holidays!

Getting us through the long nights, reorganizing, cleaning, workouts and other not so fun but totally necessary tasks is MUSIC! .. of course.

If you've got a Spotify account we are currently loving "Your Favorite Coffee House" (it's a rather mellow, singer-song writer, just what you need with a cup of coffee playlist) and "Productive Morning"(not very many vocals, good rhythm, relatively mellow, helped me bust out a paper in about 45 minutes this morning).
Also, all of James Bay. Seriously, that man's voice is AMAZING! We listen to every album including  his Spotify sessions which are just pure gold! (He even has an Alicia Keys cover)

Want it Wednesday is here again!

These past two weeks have been so hectic, I can't keep track of what day it is! 

This week were lusting over FINISHED PROJECTS! 

We probably have about 5 unfinished pieces we're working on, or haven't even started yet! And if you saw our Instagram post on Monday, you know we just added a big project to the list! A soon to be fabulous rustic farm house table! We've been on the hunt for an amazing, chunky, and BIG dinning room table for years. We found plenty of them, for hundreds even thousands of dollars. I think we always thought we'd find a bargain somewhere (shocker!) or make it our selves. 

Well, that bargain idea paid off! It's gonna need a lot of work but we found this very well loved, chunky table with lots of detail on the base and it has 2 leafs!! Our plan is to refinish and stain the top. And of course it wouldn't be farm house/ rustic with out some white chippy paint so, the base is getting some good ol' Annie Sloan chalk paint!

Want It Wednesday!

Taxes are due today! (I finished mine at 1:30 am this morning)

This WiW post isn't all decor items, I have to throw in something our family has been talking about a lot recently! A PUPPY!!!
Our beloved rat terrier Texas (yes, I really named him that) passed away on Thanksgiving of 2014 and we are seriously ready for another personality rich dog!
So number one on the list this week:

Next up Globes!
I've always wanted a large vintage world map to put mark all the places we've traveled, but I'm now loving vintage globes. Not the traditional blue water ones, I like the ones with yellow, green and even lighter neutral colors for the water!

Now that our colorful easter decor is coming down, we need some spring florals! Just little pops of color to add around the house.

Want It Wednesday!

1.  Neutral books! We love using books to decorate; you could call it an obsession! Lately, we’ve been realizing we have A LOT of red books. So we’re on the hunt for neutral books to help brighten up our space and create some depth against some darker wood pieces.
   
2. Frames! We have been on a hunt for new artwork of some kind (that’s part of the problem!) for a couple rooms including our guest room. We finally found some prints we love; now we just need frames to put them in! We’re looking for high relief frames that we can paint and shabby up!
   
3. That famous Ikea cart! I’ve loved that darn thing since they first came out with it, but it was $39 and let’s be honest, I’m cheap! Well, they LOWERED THE PRICE! It’s $29 now! I’ve been to Ikea twice since I found out they lowered the price and they were sold at! Maybe I’ll get lucky this weekend! If I do, we’ll post some pictures of how we styled it!

Want It Wednesday!

Here's some things we've been lusting over recently:

1) Topiaries! They SCREAM spring and they are the perfect thing to help bring some life into your space. If only they weren't a bagillion dollars!

2) Clocks! This is nothing new, I think my mom and I have both been obsessed with clocks ever since I can remember. What we're really loving right now is HUGE distressed clocks! Again another no so "cheap" item, I see a DIY in our future!

3) Last but not least- a Wingback chair, I've been searching for the perfect one for so long to go with my rusty meets modern desk!
